For Referees

IN SEARCH OF REFEREES!

No previous refereeing or rugby experience is required; as training will be provided. Being a rugby referee can be fun, challenging and extremely rewarding. A Referee has complete and full authority to administer and manage the match. The rules governing referees come through the USA Rugby Laws and Policies and World Rugby.

The rugby season runs from March to May, and into the summer for Summer 7s Matches. The matches for high school are generally later in the week during the evenings and can be on Saturdays or Sundays. During the season you can expect to spend about a couple hours a week traveling and refereeing, depending on the matches you sign up for.

MYRO is searching for young men and women (high school age or older) who have time and the desire to be part of one of a wonderful sport. Refereeing rugby will be more than blowing a whistle, it is about teaching young players the Laws (rules), fair play and the flow of rugby. A good Referee is a vital part in raising the quality of play and giving players the opportunity to learn and excel.

MYRO works diligently to provide a quality rugby experience for all those involved and we would love to talk with you about to get started! Please email Bruce Adams today at bruce.adams@myrugby.org
